SOCIALIST PARTY OF NEW YORK STATE
Ruth Greenberg-Edelstein, Chair

March 26, 2007
It is time to determine if the tentative May 19 - 20 dates for the Socialist Party of New York State convention in Syracuse should be accepted and all New York State members notified of the finalized plans as required by the SPNYS Constitution.
As you may recall the planned schedule is based on the train schedule from Penn Station in New York City. The meetings were set to convene 2:30 PM May 19 (Saturday), 7:30 PM the same day, and 10:00 AM (Sunday) with meals and sleeping arrangements provided. If there are more persons needing sleeping accommodations than can be provided by local SPers, we may use student housing.
Please notify me as soon as possible if you will be able to attend all or some (which ones) of the meetings by e-mail ( rgreenbe(at)syr.edu ), letter (206 Berkeley Dr., Syracuse NY 13210) or telephone (315 475-2395). The number planning to attend will determine the meeting place.
Election of officers will take place at the 7:30 Saturday night session. Other sessions will deal with socialist politics, organizing the members at large, independent political action, labor unions in NY state, delegates to the national convention, etc.
Hope you are able to attend.
Ruth
